Trick to Unlock/Reset Pattern Lock(password key) in Android Without Data Loss
Have you ever wondered if you forget the lock pattern of your Android. Well, if this happens, don't panic. I am providing you the solution if such a problem ever occurs. There are various methods of unlocking locked android, but these methods also erase all the data stored in the internal storage of the phone. Here I am providing you some simple methods by which you can easily unlock/reset pattern lock in android. By first method, all data is lost. But by second method, you can unlock your android Without Losing Data.
Method 1: Unlock/reset pattern lock (or password key) in Android (All data will be lost):
1) Switch off your android phone by long pressing power-off button. If you are not able to switch off by power button then simply remove the battery of the phone.
For Samsung devices:
2)Press Volume Up+Power Key+Home Key simultaneously.
You will be booted into recovery.
For other devices like Sony, Micromax,etc
2) Press Volume Down+Power Key simultaneously. You will be booted into recovery of the android.
Now you will see an option like Wipe Data or Delete all user data or Restore factory defaults. Use volume keys to switch up and down and use Home Key or Power Key to select any option.
So just move to Wipe Data( or Delete all user data or Restore Factory defaults or any other similar option) and select it by Power Button. After that select reboot phone.
Caution: All the data stored in the internal storage of the android will be deleted. That includes your Contacts, Call Log, and other files which are stored in internal storage of the phone. So, don't use this trick for fun. Use it only if you have really forgotten the lock pattern.
Method 2: Unlock/reset pattern lock(password key) in android (Without losing data):
1) Download Aroma File Manager from other device and copy it to the Memory Card. You can also download it from Here.
2) Insert this Memory Card into the locked Android.
3) Switch off your phone and enter Stock data recovery mode as explained in method 1 (by pressing power key+volume up or volume down).
4) After entering recovery mode, use vol. up\vol. down keys for scrolling up and down.
5) Find the Install Zip from SD Card option and select it by pressing power key or home key. Give path to aroma file manager from the SD Card. Install it.
6) After installing it will open in recovery mode.
7) From the aroma file manager go to settings> scroll to bottom and click on Automount All devices on Startup. Exit.
8) Repeat steps 5 and 6 again. After repeating the steps, you will get .Aroma File Manager again
9) Now navigate to Data Folder> System Folder and find gesture key( for pattern lock) or Password key (For password lock).
10) Delete anyone of the files(Gesture Key or Password key) you find and then exit Aroma File Manager.
11) Reboot your android. After Reboot, you will find that the Pattern lock or Password lock is still there. But don't worry, draw any pattern (or enter any password) and your android will get unlocked. But remember this pattern/password as it will be the new pattern\password.
